A bunch of us at Clearspring can’t get through a day without Pandora’s music streaming in our ears. Me included.

But as many of you know, we’re at risk of losing Pandora due to a massive retroactive royalty hike on Internet radio stations.

To raise awareness and to let people know how they can fight back, we started IHeartPandora.com, a landing page to learn about the problem learn what you can do, and grab a widget badge to show your support.

We have three versions of the badge which you can find on IHeartPandora.com. I put the 300×250 one below, which you can grab right from here.

So put it on your Facebook, Myspace, Wordpress…. wherever… and use the email link in the widget to fire off your vote of support.

I met a guy who runs some of KISS (the band)’s marketing at a conference and he sent me the coolest Christmas card ever.

My company, Clearspring, is powering a promotion for the movie Cloverfield. The movie looks really cool actually - something I’d actually want to go see.

Charlie and I are back in action as a team. I had to bring the mascot out of dry dock.

Rob came into Manhattan for a conference last Monday. We haven’t seen each other since he married Robyn and I. Rob, his buddy Steve and I went to Bann - a Korean/Fusion restaurant on 50th between 8th and 9th.

Lots to rave about this place, but we were all most surprised by the dish Rob ordered: Ta Jo - farm raised ostrich barbeque.

None of us had tried ostrich before, and it turned out to be quite a treat. Check it out in the first pic above. To me, it was like Kobe beef with a slight gamey aftertaste. Nothing off-putting at all. I might have mistaken it for a very lean beef in a blind taste test.

Also very good was the Meibo Yowano Tsuki (Midnight Moon) sake in the other pic. Had a light lychee/melon taste when it was at the right temperature.

Going back and forth on a new music debate with friends (you know who you are) - I brought up Björk’s new one (which I sadly am not too enamored with yet). Jeff then pointed us to a clip of her singing a 2Unlimited track drunk, which was surreal and brilliant. (Search for it on YouTube if you’re interested.) But of course I kept digging, and eventually came upon my favorite video of hers.

It’s an amazing treatment of “All is Full of Love”, done back in 1999 by Chris Cunningham, who has stunned me silent repeatedly thorough the years with his videos for artists like Aphex Twin, Portishead, Autechre and Squarepusher. His range is great as well. Though evoking cold beauty here, his disturbing images in the Aphex Twin videos make Chris Cunningham the reason many people are scared shitless of Aphex Twin.
