Système-D Launched

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

My new music side project launched this week. We retired Fermium and started a music podcast under the name Système-D.

The focus is original mash-ups and remix work – our first set runs the gambit from Roots Manuva to Dolly Parton and the Pointer Sisters and many lesser-known bands. It’s a great listen if I do say so myself.

So, for a good time, come check out the site here. You can also subscribe to it in iTunes or your favorite podcast program.

Moving to Bellport

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

How crazy is this?

For Robyn’s residency, we’re moving back to Bellport, NY on June 1. Here’s some answers to questions that we haven’t been asked yet.

It’s 5 minutes from the houses we grew up in.
It’s something we never expected to happen.
It’s not in the village – it’s up near Woodside Ave.
We scored an apartment that looks like a condo.

It’ll be great living near family again for the first time in 10 years.

My mom and aunt Carole scoped out the model of the apartment-condo thing we’re getting and took pictures. So you can see them here.

Charlie’s BBQ

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

Charlie smoked pulled pork in his new industrial smoker for almost 24 hours and threw a “spring ahead” party. Charlie’s carnivore cooking skills never disappoint.

Check out the pictures here.
